Meet the folks that helped get Medicaid on the November ballot in Idaho. In Valley County we got 10% of the registered voters signing the petition. McCall folks that helped get signatures and all that support Medicaid Expansion in Idaho are welcomed to attend.
You stood out in the cold with your clipboards in the dead of winter, traveled to neighboring districts and counties to knock on doors, carried petitions and gathered signatures everywhere you went for the last 6 months. Now it’s time to turn in nearly 73,000 valid signatures to the Secretary of State & celebrate!
Reclaim Idaho/Medicaid for Idaho has joined Idahoans for Healthcare, a coalition of healthcare providers, business and community organizations and healthcare advocates to inform voters about the ballot initiative. We will be working side by side with Idahoans for Healthcare to get Medicaid Expansion passed November 6.
Join Idahoans for Healthcare on Friday, July 6 at 10am at the Idaho State Capitol for a press conference and public celebration as volunteers from across the state come together to submit the required signatures to put Medicaid expansion on the Idaho ballot.

Why: Medicaid expansion petitions that have been verified by county clerks from across the state are being gathered and prepared by volunteers to be turned in for official certification by the Idaho Secretary of State’s Office. Co-chairs for the Idahoans for Healthcare campaign will be introduced during the press event.

This is an exciting opportunity to show broad public support for the effort to close the health coverage gap by expanding Medicaid at the ballot in November. Help us kick-off this next phase of the campaign and bring your friends and neighbors!
- Doctors and nurses are encouraged to come in white coats/scrubs.
- Clergy are encouraged to come in formal vestments/religious clothing.
- Water will be available at the event, but please come prepared for hot, sunny conditions.
- Idahoans for Healthcare is excited to run a winning campaign that appeals to all Idahoans–the majority of whom support Medicaid expansion. Signs will be available at the event. We ask all supporters to avoid bringing partisan signs or other materials. Volunteers are welcome to wear your Medicaid for Idaho t-shirts.
Directly following the event from 11:30 am-12:30 pm, the celebration will move to the park across from the Capitol for food and socializing.
