An Inspirational Valley County Democratic Picnic

Steve Berch speaking at Valley County Picnic

On Wednesday, August 9th over 50 people gathered to hear from Democratic leaders and candidates, listen to good music, enjoy great food from K&B’s, and raise money for candidates and the county and state Democratic organizations!

Steve Berch, District 15 State Representative, spoke about the need to elect Democrats to the legislature to end the Republican supermajority and their extreme agenda. Jared Dawson spoke about his candidacy for District 8 seat A, which includes Valley County. He will promote common sense legislation reflecting democratic values. Kaylee Peterson hopes to replace our current congressman who wants to end Obamacare, throwing thousands of Idahoans off health insurance. He also wants to take away women’s control of their health with a national total ban on abortion.

With former Congressman Larry LaRocco as our auctioneer, our pies, cakes, and crafts netted a record $2800 in a non-election year! We can feel the momentum! Thanks to all who donated items and thanks to those who opened their wallets generously to fund our efforts to elect more Democrats to local and statewide offices.
