The Valley County Democrats are thrilled to invite you to our annual summer picnic at The Woodlands, 634 Brady Drive, McCall. Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 13 with program starting at 6 p.m. for an evening filled with community spirit, inspiring speakers, and lively entertainment. Food will be available for purchase from KB Burritos starting at 5:15 pm.
We are honored to feature Rep. Llana Rubel, Idaho House Minority Leader. Representative Rubel has served Boise’s District 18 in the Idaho Legislature since 2014. She has successfully sponsored and passed a broad array of important legislation supporting the people of Idaho, including better pay and benefits for teachers, funding for optional full-day kindergarten and insurance coverage for hearing aids for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. She has served as the House Democratic Leader since 2019, is a graduate of Georgetown University and Harvard Law School, has represented technology companies for more than 20 years, and is the proud mother of four children who have attended Boise public schools.
Joining us will be Dr. Caitlin Gustafson, a family physician at St. Luke’s McCall Medical Center since 2006. Dr. Gustafson was awarded Idaho’s 2025 Family Physician of the Year by the Idaho Academy of Family Physicians. President of the Idaho Coalition for Safe Healthcare a clinician-led, community driven organization that provides accessible and actionable data and medical insights for lawmakers, business leaders, and concerned citizens to engage them in the restoration of safe, evidence-based healthcare for all Idahoans. She is a leader in Idahoans United for Women and Families- working to get the Reproductive Freedom & Privacy Act passed into Idaho law.
Our Auction will be lead by our own former Congressman Larry LaRocco. We encourage everyone to contribute a pie, dessert, or craft item for our auction. Proceeds will support state and county democratic activities
Entertainment will be provided by Mountain Fever. Remember to bring your lawn chairs for a comfortable evening.
