The Valley County Democrats are thrilled to invite you to our annual summer picnic at The Woodlands, 634 Brady Drive, McCall. Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 14, starting at 6 p.m. for an evening filled with community spirit, inspiring speakers, and lively entertainment.

We are honored to feature Rep. Lauren Necochea, chair of the Idaho Democratic Party and representative for District 19 in the Idaho Legislature. Rep. Necochea has a distinguished career advocating for tax policy, healthcare, and children’s issues. Her work with Idahoans for Healthcare was pivotal in expanding Medicaid in Idaho. With a background that includes a Fulbright Fellowship in Peru and degrees from Princeton University and Pomona College, Rep. Necochea brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our event.

Joining us will be Betty Richardson, a trailblazer as the first woman to serve as U.S. attorney for Idaho. Richardson’s experience includes working alongside U.S. Sen. Frank Church and Governor Cecil Andrus. She co-founded and co-leads Idaho Women for Harris, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to Democratic values.

Don’t miss the chance to meet Kaylee Peterson, candidate for U.S. Congress, and Jared Dawson, candidate for the Idaho Legislature District 8. Their fresh perspectives and dedication to our state promise to energize and inspire attendees.

Entertainment will be provided by Mountain Fever, and food will be available for purchase from KB’s Burritos. Remember to bring your lawn chairs for a comfortable evening.
